After his military service, Steven transitioned into the civilian workforce as a Capital Project Manager from 2013 to 2015. Seeking to harness the power of technology to solve everyday problems, Steven co-founded Lawn Buddy in 2016, a platform initially aimed at connecting homeowners with lawn care providers that streamline the communication and payments for lawn care services. Lawn Buddy has evolved into an all-in-one business management solution for green industry professionals, aiding them in scaling their businesses efficiently.Building on the success of Lawn Buddy, Steven expanded his entrepreneurial ventures by starting a sister tech company, Blue Ox, in 2018, further demonstrating his commitment to leveraging technology for practical solutions. His dedication to serving fellow veterans led him to proudly serve on the board of Veterans without Orders from 2017 to 2019, where he contributed as both a member and the board chair. This organization focuses on providing clean water to underprivileged communities across the globe. Steven's expertise and innovative approach to technology also earned him a place on the Forbes Technology Council board from 2021 to 2023, where he shared insights and collaborated with other leaders in the tech industry. Currently, Steven is a managing board member of Flagship Kansas and the Wichita Chamber of Commerce, where he continues to influence the tech and business landscape in Wichita and beyond. Steven's story is a testament to the power of perseverance, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to serving others, whether in uniform, in business, or in the community.
